Took just a little over a month on this piece, not counting the week or so spent experimenting and practice stitching. Version 3 Kermit; the final one I made. Inspired by the earlier Kermit look:

2017年8月29日 · One thing about Kermit that was challenging is that the shape of his head is so dependent on the persons hand size. Small variations can result in him looking very different. Below is a quick video (no sound) of the second Kermit I’d built, after I swapped the original mouth with a new one made out of a more flexible styrene.

The only foam I could find was 2", so I cut out the pieces at the 7.75" size, and found that you were exactly correct - it was WAY too thick.

2024年6月22日 · I also bought a copy of "Of Muppets and Men", as well as a 1978 Kermit hand puppet that used the same Malden Mills fleece that Henson started using at this time, as it was cheaper and shinier than Antron fleece, though not nearly as stretchy.

I looked at the Henson stitching tutorials on YouTube but I'm still a little confused. On the head, do you line up both sides with the finished side faceing out and then sew? I hope that makes sense.
