KWFM was a classic hits formatted broadcast radio station licensed to South Tucson, Arizona, serving Tucson, Arizona. [1] . KWFM was last owned by AM Radio Licenses, LLC. [2] The station went on the air as KMOP in 1957. It became KHYT in 1965, KMRR on February 7, 1987, KJLL in 1999, and KWFM in 2012. [3]

This site is a tribute to KWFM, Tucson's first and only progressive free form rock station. KWFM launched some legendary radio careers, all of whom helped build the station's definitive sound.

In the spring of 1979, just after the KWFM 9th birthday celebration at Reed Park, KWFM became not only THE #1 STATION for males 18-34 and 18-49, but also became Tucson's #1 STATION with a 12+ share. Needless to say it was a great day for the station and all of the hard-working people that made the station successful.
