2021年7月5日 · Lr13 is regarded as one of the most widely distributed leaf rust R genes in wheat (McIntosh et al., 1995). Researchers observed that lines carrying Lr13 consistently gave hybrid necrosis in specific crosses.

We previously identified a temperature-sensitive leaf rust resistance gene LrZH22 in Chinese wheat cultivar Zhoumai 22 (ZM, Figure 1A) that was effective against most Chinese Pt pathotypes (Wang et al., 2016) and shared an overlapping genetic interval with Lr13.

At its adult stage, wheat cultivar Liaochun10 is resistant to leaf rust and the gene for that resistance has been mapped on chromosome 2BS. It was designated LrLC10 and is the same gene as cataloged gene Lr13 by pedigree analysis and allelism test.
