2025年2月16日 · Great information, so I see the most popular LSA is 112 but if you want a big cam like the 242/248 .600 lift and have taller gears and a dual plane intake wouldn't that make up for any torque loss of the 112 and therefore you could use a 114 and have a wider power band and a more manageable car that still would do good at the track and going for ice cream ?

2022年7月1日 · I’m running a 462, with a moderate cam (236/242 at .050” 12 deg LSA) and th400. I set my total timing to 36 which results in my base at about 13 or 14 deg - my mech advance is about 22-24 degrees, and I use no vac advance. I use a 2,400 converter so my idle rpm in neutral is about 750 rpm, drops slightly in drive at idle.

2013年8月19日 · LSA 116 degrees. More on LSA below. As you can see, the difference in the cam is the durations, but the lift stays the same. Now if we step up to the factory 1968 Ram Air I engine, still rated at 360 HP, it used the "744" cam. Int 301 Ex 313 Lift .406". LSA 115.5 degrees

2011年8月31日 · Tightening the lsa to 106 deg. would ultimately provide more power but expense of a narrow power band and a choppy idle. LSA's of 110 to 114 are usually best for engines that will see street dutyas well as the occasional foray at the track. A wider lsa improves idle quality by creating more intake manifold vacuum and allowing less reversion.

2020年1月29日 · The xe 262 or xe 268 is a good base set of numbers to look for in your cam choice. Also a narrow LSA makes more power, but at a narrower RPM range , where as the same grind with a wider LSA (higher number) makes power across a wider rpm range. My ( 389) 400 runs a CRANE cam with .454 in .480 ex lift 112 LSA (216in 228ex @.050).
