The Mateba MTR is a series of target revolvers manufactured by Mateba, designed by Italian designer Emilio Ghisoni. It was the second weapon designed by Ghisoni, as well as his first revolver. The gun, like Ghisoni's previous MT1, is intended to be a competition shooting weapon.

The Mateba MTR-8 revolver is one of the most unusual weapons of its class, developed during the early 1980s for sport shooting, especially for rapid fire events. To achieve a minimum shot-to-shot time through minimized barrel rise, the designer of this weapon, Emilio Ghisoni, decided to put the barrel as low as possible.

2020年5月19日 · I've recently stumbled upon an unpopular and rare gun model, the Mateba MTR 8. It was designed as a sports revolver, and has a surprising, and in my opinion beautiful feature - it's cylinder* is on the front. Not only does it look unique, it's meant to counteract recoil. Of course the gun isn't perfect, I'm not surprised it didn't stick for long.
