Each day, the airport handles commercial airline service, air cargo operations, military and general aviation. The airport is home to one fixed base operator (FBO), Signature Flight Support.

MKAA aims to provide something for almost everyone, be their taste for pleasure angling, pursuit of specimens, particular species, matches, lure angling, fishing with a few mates, getting away from it all…or if you are just starting out.

Carp large and small, big tench roach, bream, hybrids, pike, perch, chub and the occasional exotic are all part of the scene. Most are easily accessible and set in the parklands of which MK is so proud. Membership of MKAA is available on an Annual Basis or by Day Ticket. The MKAA season runs from 16 June until 15 June the following year.

The Airport Authority Board of Commissioners is the governing board for McGhee Tyson and Downtown Island Airports. The Airport Authority Board of Commissioners meets monthly at 4 p.m. at McGhee Tyson Airport.
