Freedom installed in a snap, no problems except that the .nwd files that I was sent are corrupt. So, back to the drawing board on Monday I'm retired, if you don't like it, go around!

Actually, it was an autocad 3D shape, it was not working at all with NWD file. The reason for this was that I could not any face to work with.. no anchor no nothing.. With Autocad import it was horrible and was not showing 90% of the model, however, the best way I found was to export as a DXF file, then import into revit.

Does anyone know of a way to automate the creation of NWD files from RVT files? Ideally I'd like a utility (whether it integrates with Navisworks or is a 3rd party stand-alone) that will monitor a folder structure and if a .rvt file is saved / updated, it will automatically create a corresponding .nwd file. Let's say something went wrong, and you have lost an NWC file that you need - but you don't have access to the originating application or model. Do you have an NWD file that contains this NWC, preferably a recent one? Then you should be able to re-create that NWC file, which might get you out of trouble in the short-term. Open the NWD in Navisworks

2011年2月10日 · Navisworks 2013 reads RVT files natively, so all you need is access to either navisworks 2013 simulate or manage. If you only have access to 2012, then you can either make a DWF from revit, or use the NWC exporter add-in for Revit to get the file to Navisworks.

2012年6月22日 · I love answering my own questions: Solution: 2013 Navisworks Simulate will open a .rvt file (2012 Navis Freedom will not) and save to 2012 .nwd format. I hadn't installed Simulate when I upgraded to OneBox 2103 but it's up and running now. Thanks Me!

2021年1月25日 · So, i created a NWF file hosted on BIM360 where all models are linked in. I then open this NWF file and reload models weekly to fetch updated models from "Shared folder" to create weekly federated NWD. Now, the issue is that you can't create issues in the NWF file. You must open the published NWD file in order to create issues.

If if received a revit model and I have a doubt that was imported as NWD, NWC , how I can know that and how I can deal with the model and what is the difference between MODEL DONE BY REVIT OR THESE TWO FORMATS.

2011年1月17日 · Hello all, I recently noticed there's a discrepancy in a native NWF Navisworks Manage project file format, and a published NWD Navisworks in Freedom only. So, first thing I thought was open the NWD in Manage. Sure enough, looks great - just like the native NWF file. So I've reduced it down to being a Freedom problem, and not a NWD problem per se.
