2008年6月25日 · You can use other amplifiers than NHT with X1, but with other than NHT subwoofers you might have some troubles. X1 was designed to match our Evolution-series and in-wall subwoofers, not be used as a generic crossover. Dear Sir, Crossover slopes, boundary EQ’s, pretty much everything in X1 was designed for Evolution-series subwoofers.

2008年2月13日 · The X1 cross-over supported by 2 of the A1 mono-amps. NHT manual states that the X1 to be used with the Evolution lines while the X2 for non-Evolution lines. I have check both the X1 and X2 spec, they are identical except for the X2 logo on the unit. All the features and spec are the same on the X1 and X2.

2020年9月28日 · OP, you need the X1 because it provides the necessary EQ for the NHT subwoofers. The natural -3dB point of the subs is 58Hz but the X1 drops the -3 dB point down to 26Hz. I guess if you had to, you might be able to get by by manually EQing the subs and use an electronic crossover. Stereophile reports that the X1 adds 12dB at 32Hz.

My curiosity gotten to me and I’d like to connect it to my two channel rig. How do I connect the NHT x1 crossover to my two channel tube preamp? I have two sets of pre outs and that’s it.

2003年10月6日 · If it's through the X1, you may want to give NHT a call to see if the LFE pass through channel on the X1 applies the low end compensation (for the NHT subs) that the other two sub channels do. I know that the boundary compensation stuff does not work on the LFE channel on the X-1 but I'm not sure if it applies the boost to the LFE.
