2022年10月28日 · I don't know exactly when this problem occurred, I was taking a break from recording, but back in April 2022 everything was fine, recording was smooth. Now, on the same settings, on the same system, the video is choppy. I have tried: Turning g-sunc off and on. Turning v-sync on and off. Different resolution, different bitrate.

2019年2月27日 · LOL. 2 years later and 2 versions later and this still helped. I'm not even playing a game, but straight using OBS to record a slowed-down video file. I didn't realize OBS was causing the choppiness and I thought it was my video rendering. It turns out OBS was outputting them with dropped frames. Just turning off game mode seemed to do the trick.

2022年2月22日 · Choppy recording is usually a sign of CPU usage. The game and OBS are both fighting for it. Even if you use NVENC to encode, OBS still needs some CPU to actually run. To fix the issue: Run OBS as Administrator, and set the CPU Process priority to anything above the default. Usually Above normal works, or the next highest (don't set it to realtime).

I played around with the bitrate of the recording, I thought that maybe it was too high causing writing problems (40000Kbps).

2023年6月24日 · My video recordings have brief moments where the framerate is obviously lower and the video goes choppy for about 1 second or so. Those moments are somewhat frequent. I've got a video recording clearly showing the effect. I've also got a log file. OBS stats dock shows no frames missed or skipped. GPU usage was between 40% to 50% throughout.

2017年2月27日 · My motherboard died this weekend so I upgraded my system to an i5 7600k, 16 gigs of ram wtih a gtx 1080 recording at 720p 30 FPS. Both setups resulted in choppy recordings. Even if I turned down the bit rate. Now to make matters worse on the newer system the recording will record audio and will on a load screen.

2020年8月9日 · The settings for my recording are set to “use stream encoder”. However, I’ve tested every single type of encoding, and every type of recording format. I’ve tried to playback my videos in Window’s Movies and TV, Media Player, and VLC, and they all result in a choppy video.
