2024年5月4日 · I found the OW1 rank icons easier to understand and cooler. The diamond icon was a real shiny diamond. The new icons are confusing and despite having 3500+ hours in comp, I find them difficult and hard to understand.

2022年10月24日 · Comparison between OW1 and OW2 rank icons. I made a quick comparison to show how big of a downgrade the new icons are. I feel like Plat looks worse. Or at least harder to distinguish from Diamond. It's also weird that Masters looks more like Top 500 than GM does. It does, I believe it has to do with the segments being out of place.

Any player who achieves the Top 500 status will be informed when reaching it, along with their rating in Top 500. They will also earn special cosmetic reward (competitive season's animated spray and special player icons).

2023年5月4日 · You can see how from platinum to diamond, the rank icon changes in shape and color completely, making it seem like a whole new tier, and it even looks like the form it acquires is different from the previous ranks, indicating that's a new rank tier.

The high rank icons for OW1 are better and more detailed, but the metal ranks are super basic in shape and just look like they got filled with "gold_texture.jpg" someone found on google images. The newest ones are cooler in that regard.

2024年2月8日 · GM + Champion (Seem like they have animation effects like OW1 where Top500 had lightning through the icon, GM had a sparkling to it, and Diamond had a very strong shine to it.

OW1 icons were perfect and each rank was so clearly visually distinct while retaining a flair that made it feel prestigious. I literally still get confused by the rank icons even after playing every season
