2024年3月1日 · File Explorer recognizes that it is an internet shortcut. Even if I build the url file myself using the "Create Shortcut" it springs the warning and it has the security tab problem spoken of below even though I just created it. The only thing I don't understand is the "Account Unknown". Each url has the exactly the same thing in the Security tab.

2024年8月19日 · recently some users noticed there is a new feature in SharePoint online that allows you to open unknown/proprietary file types from SharePoint directly in the desktop applications using OneDrive. As far as I understand, SharePoint passes the File to OneDrive wich passes the file to the windows file handler (Open With).

When I click on any saved url, I get a warning that it is an unknown file type, although Properties clearly shows it as a .URL. The warning allows me to proceed, but is inconvenient. Using WIN10 Home with Chrome and apparently received the Anniversary Update just before this began. I cannot find anything in Settings that appears to help.

Before the April 2018 update, I would see a prompt upon lunching the program that would inform me that this program had an unknown publisher. This prompt would allow me to select the 'Run Anyway' option. Since the April 2018 update, this prompt does not display.

2014年6月21日 · If I open it with a notepad, it's empty. If I open it in Notepad++, it opens an empty file with a popup message "C:\Windows\Media\X doesn't exist. Create it?". After answering Yes, I get another message "Cannot create the file "C:\Windows\Media\X"". I've already tried disabling every single startup item from the Task manager After startup menu.
