I had the code P0022 for camshaft timing over advanced on bank 2, I replaced the vct solenoid on that bank and the code went away. 3 days later it pops back up but this time it states that the camshaft timing is over retarded.

2011年4月14日 · P0022- That code right there is the actual problem. The timing is off and I'm going to suspect a minor problem with the CAM PHASER. See our engines are able to have VCT/VVT whatever you wanna call it through these things called cam phasers. They allow the cams and valves to run independent of one another by retarding them (changing degrees).
