Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.

What does Psalm 1:5 mean? When God judges the righteous and the wicked, He will separate the two groups. The righteous will "stand" in His presence, which in this case is contrasted with those who "fall" in the presence of God. Those who fall are the wicked, who will be sentenced to eternal punishment.
