2010年1月10日 · The R62A's were delivered in the mid 80's (started in 1985) and replaced the entire fleet for the #1 line (5 car sets) and #3 line and the GCT shuttle (in single car sets) and replaced close to half of the fleet on the #6 line (5 car sets) with redbirds making up the rest of the trains on the #6 line.

The only reefed R62A is 1909, which was derailed at Hunts Point Av in the 90s, mid-carbody damage. To clarify for those who don't know, R62s are 1301-1625, and R62As are 1651-2475, period. The R62a is in much better condition than the R62.

Some R62A rollsigns have slightly smaller numbers in the bullets, and I assume those rollsigns are the originals and all others are replacements, but I'm not sure. 2019年1月18日 · Certainly, anything's possible. The R262s could go anywhere. But it seems they will be built with open gangways and wider doors to increase capacity and shorten dwell times.

2019年1月18日 · If that’s still the plan, then they should continue to use the single R62A cars currently being used, then replace them with R262s once those cars come on line. Cascading R142/As from the would require them to acquire additional trailer cars to make 6-car trains. The cost wouldn’t be worth doing for so few cars.
