2022年3月28日 · We show that a naive mapping under-exploits the ray tracing hardware. We propose two performance optimizations, query scheduling and query partitioning, to tame the inefficiencies. Experimental results show 2.2X - 65.0X speedups over existing neighbor search libraries on GPUs. The code is available at https://github.com/horizon-research/rtnn.

With query partitioning enabled, RTNN allows you to control whether/how much to approximate KNN search through the -a switch --- with 3 approximation levels: 0 for exact search and 2 for the most aggressive approximation.

Each year, twelve students conduct research in faculty labs across the three RTNN institutions: the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, and Duke University. The project is led by Professors Jim Cahoon (UNC), David Mitzi (Duke), and Aram Amassian (NC State).

RTNN offers unprecedented access to nanotechnology facilities in the Research Triangle. Our education, workforce training, and outreach programs are comprehensive. We also provide nanotechnology resources to society through public alerts and information clearinghouses.

2020年8月25日 · Led by NCSU, the RTNN excelled in this mission in the first five years of NSF funding, and has been renewed by the NSF for another $5.5 million grant over five years to serve the Triangle and the nation by providing unprecedented access to nanotechnology facilities, expertise and educational opportunities for all users.

2019年10月24日 · RTNN’s goal is to dramatically enhance access to university nanotechnology resources, such as fabrication and characterization facilities as well as expert research personnel, by lowering barriers to access such as distance, cost and awareness.
