ScytheConnection Design Snath - Scythe Works
These snaths are the original ScytheConnection design and are considered the most ergonomic snaths on the market. All snaths are supplied with a Snath Saver and an Attachment Ring. Well shaped grips have about a 6″ adjustment range. To accommodate the mower’s height the snaths come in three sizes:

The metal snath is good for people between 5 and 6 feet tall, whil This is a combination kit including a scythe blade and snath (the handle). Keep in mind that these scythe blades require regular peening and sharpening to perform properly.

Our snaths are custom made to fit the individual mower based on height, leg length, cubit and blade choice. We supply two types of snaths – a bent model and a straight model. The bent snath turns up at a slight angle near the blade end.

Scythes for the very tall (6' 2" - 6' 5") folks. These all include the ScytheConnecton hickory snaths with adjustable grips and are custom-matched to the respective blades pictured here and listed below. Because most of these snaths are relatively straight AND for tall users, they require blades with very steep tangs.
Adjustable Wooden Snath (inc. grips and clamp) - Scythe Cymru
Adjustable curved wooden snath, including movable hand grips, clamp and wedge. A robust, ergonomic design with secure fixings. The position of the grips are easily adjusted to suit the height and preference of the mower. This snath was designed in partnership between Peter Vido and the Schröckenfux scythe factory.
