The Short SC.7 Skyvan (nicknamed the "Flying Shoebox") [1] is a British 19-seat twin- turboprop aircraft first flown in 1963, that was manufactured by Short Brothers of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Featuring a basic rugged design and STOL capabilities, it was used in small numbers by airlines, and also by some smaller air forces.

The Short SC.7 Skyvan, also known as the Flying Shoebox of the Short Brothers was designed to operate in short haul freight and skydiving. The British 19-seater twin turboprop aircraft can fly up to 602 nautical miles and has a maximum cruise speed of 150 knots.

The Skyvan is a high wing, twin-engined all-metal monoplane with a high semicantilever tailplane with twin rudders. The first flight of the Skyvan, the Skyvan 1, was on 17 January 1963. It is affectionately called "the shed" by pilots and crew.
