I know this probably sounds utterly insane to the people who are into the Nerf scene, but I really would like to give it my best attempt. Most "mods" to Nerf guns are generally replacement springs with higher spring constants, and removing air restrictors and patching holes.

If you don't have any compartmentalized plastic boxes for small parts and screws, use an ice cube tray. For larger guns you can also make a crude sketch that shows what size/type of screw goes where, a detail photos don't really help with.
