With the Military Club's moves to update X-Plane 11 aircraft for XP12, led admirably by @alpeggio, @danhopgood1 and others, I thought I would try the FlyingIrons' Spitfire in XP12.

2024年12月3日 · Make a backup first, and apply it to both Spitfire IX acf's, Change in objects, the lighting for "Glass_Exterior", to Outside Rain Glass. Also remove the Avi Tab folder from the Spitfire plugins (as long as you have Avi Tab in xplane 12 plugins folder), this prevents a crash when you change the aircraft in the sim. Once on the ground the pilot (Peter Teichman) used brief but frequently ‘dibbing’ of the brake for fractions of a second (see the last 20 seconds of the video link below). This technique I found also works in X-plane FlyingIron Spitfire.

2024年11月25日 · Does anyone else have an xplane crash when changing from this Spitfire, to another aircraft in the sim? Apparently it is because of an AviTab conflict, if you have Avitab plugin in the xplane plugins folder, seems to conflict with the one in the spitfire.

2022年2月27日 · V1.1 brings this Spitfire PR inline with my Seafire F MK15, with new wheels, spinner, panel and TACAN (thanks to Troopie and Khamsin). Ground handling is also improved. Just apply some right rudder and roll trim for setoff, and easy on the throttle.
