2004年7月6日 · I have also taken a samsung 148 cdrom that runs in UDMA on the other dell computers, and it does the same thing. I have cleared NV ram. I have tried all three jumper positions. We use a lot of Dell computers here, and they work fine. We just bought 12 Dimension 2400's and we NEED them to run in UDMA mode like the other dells do.

Whenever possible, the operating system will step down one UDMA mode at a time (from UDMA mode 4 to UDMA mode 3, and so on). 2004年9月20日 · Hi, I have a 40BG IDE (7,200rpm) Hard Drive on my Dell Dimension 2400 and was wondering if I can use either of the following drives as a slave; an ATA, S-ATA or a UDMA. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks! IDE, ATA, and UDMA are really the same - any 7200rpm IDE drive (Western Digital, Seagate, Hitachi) would be fine.

2007年3月28日 · Your other drive is off, what is happening, Windows XP is actually picking the drive up but dropping it in PIO mode. See if you can turn the Secondary Slave on in the BIOS, save/exit and see if both drives now show UDMA mode. Best Regards! God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,

2004年5月25日 · On my primary channle I have one drive that is UDMA 5, the new drive I installed is stuck in PIO only. I have tried changing in windows, no luck. I looked at the BIOS but cannot see where to change it. Can anyone help? Now, is it safe to uninstall the primary channel and have in re-recognized? I need to get that drive to UDMA.
