2024年9月30日 · That would be me. There was no race school in 1977. I watched one WERA race at Milwaukee and then I went racing at Summit Point. My first laps on a race track was the first practice session on Saturday morning. I was lucky in that a guy told me he knew a guy that had a used set of leathers.

2024年11月7日 · Just vintage on Saturday is where I'd lean to give some of the other vintage classes more than one WERA event per year. The only downside is labor day weekend there always seems to be HOT. A bit of a weird request but a vintage endurance race would be really cool as there's only one in the US as far as I know and it's way north.

2002年12月15日 · WERA began as ERA founded by Dr. Peter Frank and his wife Patty O'Brien Frank in early 1973 on the East Coast of the U.S. In 1974 ERA became WERA and expanded and became one of the first sanctioning bodies to host events all across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Suddenly $100/class entry looks like a veritable bargain. And, there is the issue of getting an open and available weekend. Lots of legacy dates already taken.
