A special board of directors meeting for the Woodburn Fire District will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to interview candidates for fire chief. This meeting will be held in executive session and will not be open to the public.

Woodburn Fire District (WFD), covering 75 square miles in Marion County (Oregon) including the areas of Broadacres, Gervais & Waconda. Woodburn Fire District was originally established in 1901 as the Woodburn Fire Department and the Woodburn Rural Fire Protection District was established in 1946.

The Woodburn Fire Department delivers fire protection, EMS, & rescue services, ensuring public safety with rapid response, prevention education, and outreach.

Formed in January of 2022 with the uniting of The New Haven Adams Township Fire Department and Woodburn Fire Department, East Central Fire & EMS Protection Territory is a combination Fire & EMS Department servicing the Cities of Woodburn & New Haven, and the unincorporated areas of Adams, Jefferson, Maumee, and Milan Townships.
