However, the reason the XM6 looks unlikely to be released is that the patents haven't been registered in time. This usually happens months before the release. This is why it looks unlikely that the XM6 will be released during the usual May-Aug window for this line of cans.

2024年3月20日 · Imagine the scenario where the XM5 is already 3 years old, the XM6 is one year old and people still buy the 5 years old XM4 because that was the overall best value product for the general public. Sony wants to regain its leading position and more importantly, they want the XM6 to sell really well.

Try popping the ear cups off and looking underneath the foam. I had this happen because the ANC mic (a little silver puck attached to a white wire) came loose from its holder in the middle of the headphones.

2024年1月14日 · Being so close the expected launch of the XM6's I'd wait. I've a pair of XM3's and I'm not convinced the XM6 will be worth the upgrade. The Sony XM line are clearly so much better than competing headphones that once you've got a pair it becomes increasingly hard to make an upgrade that will be perceptible to the ordinary user.

One feature I expect in XM6 is support for Bluetooth LE on 5 or 6 GHz band, depending on which one gets the final approval. As soon as it's standardized, everyone will scramble to make the first headphones using that band, and releasing a flagship model weeks or months before everyone dropping their 5/6 GHz headphones is akin to shooting ...

XM6 will probably come out during or sometime after May, Sony releases new headphones during the summer every 2 years. At this point, I'd wait. The XM5s are great and have been loving them since launch but the XM6 may bring better upgrades.

I also want to know when XM6 comes out! I am still using my five year old XB900N headphones. I am ready to upgrade, but IDK if I want the XM5 since they don't fold like mine. I love these headphones! Some people online are predicting a release date between May-Sep …
