1970 SS 396 RPO Code - Z25 or ZL3 | Team Chevelle
2001年6月4日 · It is my understanding that the ZL3 code was telling the line worker this was an upgrade from a base Malibu. Thus the RPO Z25 396. But the reason the Z15 LS5 or LS6 454 cars do not show ZL3 conv.on their buildsheet is because in theory you had to order the RPO Z25 upgrade first, then upgrade to the RPO Z15 454 option. Thus making ZL3 redundant.

SS RPO code...were they all the same? - Team Chevelle
2004年2月12日 · * No ZL3 or Z25 code on COPO but shows engine as L78 * ZL3 CONV SS396 and Z25 SS396 code on L78 non-COPO car So, even if you took build sheets from 4 of the 5 plants for Chevelles, they aren't going to read the same but ZL3 and Z25 were the only two codes used on Chevelles in 1969. In 1970, only Kansas City used both ZL3 and Z25.
was Z15 OR Z25 ever put on the trim tag for 69-71 - Team Chevelle
2010年11月30日 · {Edit} To answer the original question about Z15 or Z25 on 69-71 tags: 1. Z15 was not available in 1969, so no. 2. Of the few 1971 & 1972 Oshawa tags I have, the ONLY RPO code on them is C08 (vinyl top) when applicable, no other RPO codes that I've seen. That and the Z25 code was dropped in 1971 so no it wouldn't be on 71 or 72 Oshawa tags either.
Z15 SS 454 or Just SS Equipment - Team Chevelle

Anyone Running a BBC Nova? (Swap Q's) - Team Chevelle
2005年1月2日 · Hey guys, Over the weekend, my dad, brother and I pulled out a 454 out of a '77 "Camper Special" Silverado Suburban. My brother's 69 Nova has a tired, old, borrowed-from-a-friend 307.
