The 204th Airlift Squadron (204 AS) is a unit of the Hawaii Air National Guard 154th Wing stationed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. The 204th is equipped with the C-17 Globemaster III .

The 298 th Air Defense Group, to include its two squadrons, the 169 th Air Defense Squadron and the 298 th Support Squadron protect Hawaii’s skies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They work in close collaboration with military and civilian authorities to ensure the safety of Hawaii’s airspace through constant vigilance and quick response.

The 204th AS is a classic associate unit with the 535th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The 204th Airlift Squadron flies the C-17 Globemaster, the newest, most flexible cargo aircraft to enter the airlift force.

The 204th Airlift Squadron is a classic associate unit flying C-17A Globemasters belonging to the 535th Airlift Squadron, 15th Wing. The 204th Airlift Squadron comprises 40 percent of the Team Hickam's C-17 flight crews. The Wing's 169th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron operates a radar site at Mount Kaala, Oahu.

Maj. Gen. Richardson announced that the 204th Airlift Squadron would activate during the last quarter of fiscal year 1994 with a full squadron of C-130Hs. The HIANG welcomed two brand new C-130H3 which came to us right off the assembly line. This was the first time in the HIANG's history that aircraft from the factory would be assigned to the unit.
