2023年10月6日 · TL;DR: Elemental was ok until I watched a key scene. Since then, it became one of Pixar's weakest films to me. That said, it deserves an audience. I had to explain it first to avoid possible misunderstandings. Also, spoiler alert. I watched Elemental in theaters in July. Since then, I have mixed feelings.

Poor Wade tries to weasel his way out of eating the coals, but when Bernie insists, Wade fearfully tries one and the buildup of steam in his body causes his head to inflate like a balloon, followed by him burping a bubble that screams. Then, when Wade thinks the ordeal is over, Bernie gives him bigger, even hotter coals to try.

All the elements are present in this scene as well, the tree growing from the earth, the air bubble, Fire and Water - which is where we see the beauty of the blooming vivistera flowers. Mixing creates beauty and life.
