2022年10月21日 · Hey all, I just got a Steam Deck about a week ago and I wanted to share my experiences of how Crusader Kings functions on the Deck. For starters, CK3 needs at least one mod to be useable on the steam deck.

2023年12月6日 · Roboto Font Mod works well for Victoria 3 and CK3, though CK3 is probably the only Paradox game where font feels right and it doesn't really need this. 80% scaling + UI Mod feels right, but it makes you use sliders a lot, so 70% scaling without any mods (maybe big tooltip font mod) might be a preferable experience.

2023年10月16日 · It does chug during large wars (20-25 fps) but even with mods, and simming, I can average around 35-40fps with pretty decent graphics settings. The real only downside is the size of text on some screens, but there are a couple QoL mods that help improve the handheld experience. I can share detailed settings if you’re interested.

2023年1月29日 · Quality and performance is all fine on the Deck. It’s not verified because some of the text in the UI can be a bit small (but the Steam Deck has a built-in magnification tool, so you can always zoom in) and you need to do a bit of configuration to get a good control scheme.

2023年5月1日 · I recommend the Anker 737 (Powercore 24k) which is accepted on airlines and charges the deck faster than it depletes @140W, as with all lithium-ion batteries, the deck included, don't let them run empty.

Has someone experience playing CK3 on the Steam Deck? I would use keyboard + mouse, but how's performance and what mods would you recommend? I've read that you should use an UI scale mod

2023年12月18日 · A simple yet effective initial workaround for addressing Crusader Kings III crashing on the Steam Deck is to restart the device and check for a Steam firmware update. You can check for the latest updates by heading into the Deck Settings, navigating to System, and selecting “Check for Updates”.

2024年1月24日 · CK3 is currently unplayable under Linux and Mac (too many crash), it isn't a problem with the Steam Deck. It is since November, and there isn't any real communication about it. There is many bug reports and no answers (and a growing irritation).
