Dev Patel (/ ˈ d ɛ v p ə ˈ t ɛ l /; [1] born 23 April 1990) is an English actor and filmmaker. He has received various accolades , including a British Academy Film Award and nominations for an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards .
