Ensign Peak Park is nestled in the foothills north of downtown Salt Lake City. GPS is needed to find the trailhead, and street parking is readily available. The trail to the dedicatory pillar is uphill the whole hike, but is less than a mile. Bringing water on warm days is a must. There are explanatory markers along the way.
