2013年2月26日 · It is important to understand that Follow Me extrudes a profile that starts out perpendicular to the first segment in the path and ends the extrusion with the profile perpendicular to the last segment in the path. If you don't place the profile perpendicularly to the first segment, SketchUp will rotate before starting the extrusion.

2010年9月1日 · It is a component. The path is also a component. As was said, explode the components and Follow Me will work as it is intended. Here's a screen grab video of your model. If you preselect the path and then get the Follow Me tool, the path will appear to be deselected but the tool works normally.

I think this could be considered a bug in follow me. heh, careful about going down that rabbit hole if you do, you'll realize sketchup as a whole is flawed and this 'bug' presents itself in many tools/scenarios. follow-me this profile along the path then inspect the inner corner..

The Follow me tool is one of the most powerful, native tools in SketchUp. There are some little tricks that can make life much easier . Making an inner bevel on a cabinet door's face may seem to be problematic first.

2014年12月6日 · Very likely it's because the line segments in the arc at the top are too short and/or the segments in the circular path. SketchUp doesn't make tiny little faces although they can exist. Scale the model up by a factor of 100 or so and run Follow Me. Then scale back down.

2024年2月7日 · The Path for follow me needs to be ungrouped, not exploded. It needs to be raw geometry. The Profile can be grouped but that is a different issue. In the gif you can see the big blue bounding box of the group, exploding removes this. Your spiral within is already exploded, so I weld it to make it one curve, rather than group it.

2008年1月4日 · Also note that the Follow Me tool is unable to turn a corner cleanly with an interior radius of 0. In these cases it always results in an odd bevel and a couple of small faces that look like the wings of a small butterfly.
