LCCC's nursing program includes a balance of general education and nursing courses that provide the knowledge and skills needed to function as beginning practitioners of nursing. These courses include anatomy, physiology, microbiology and nursing among others.

Students gain proficiency in basic resident care skills, beginning infection control, communication and interpersonal skills through theory, practice and supervised clinical experience. Students prepare to take the qualifying exam for CNA as an integral part of this course.

Admission to the Nursing Program is competitive, and students must be in satisfactory academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all of the completed courses listed in the Nursing curriculum.
