2019年12月31日 · I think they have an anti siphon mechanism in there that stops you. I tried and got a big whiff of fumes. When I did it I just disconnected one of the gas lines, pulled the relay for the fuel pump and use a little piece of wire where the relay goes to skip the switch and turn on the pump to dump the gas out.

2011年1月9日 · Holy thread revival. Had this issue last weekend in a trail ride where a jeep almost out of gas. Far far from any gas station. All other TJs lots of fuel. Let’s siphon out some and transfer to the needy rig. No can do. Guy ended up on a a strap for 20 miles. Fun!

2019年1月23日 · When gas was $4.29 a gallon here back in the Obama days, people would just crawl under a Jeep, drill a hole in the tank, and leave with several gallons of gas in a matter of a couple of minutes. I decided I'd rather lose $50 in gas than lose hundreds in repairing a tank so I took my locking cap off and haven't used one since.

2010年9月19日 · Today I attempted to siphon gas from my jeep to fill my lawn mower. Any one know if the 2010 unlimited jeeps have some for of anti siphon screen in the gas tank neck? I was unable to pass the siphon hose down into the tank. I find it handy to sometimes take gas from my vehicle when my gas can is empty and I need to fill the snow blower or mower.

2017年4月12日 · It is not an anti siphon valve it is called an inlet check vale (ICV) which is supposedly used to keep fuel from spilling out in case of a roll over. Like Jed, I’m not sure if yours is the same as the ’05-‘06s (the tanks changed in '05) but it probably is similar.

2020年9月21日 · At least there is in my 98 TJ, so I'd assume your newer Jeep has that too. So you can't jam a siphon hose down the filler neck. Look underneath & follow the hose from the filler neck towards the tank. Somewhere in there ought to be something you can un-attach to pour the fuel out, or get a siphon hose into the tank, after the anti-siphon ball.

2011年11月22日 · The car seems pretty damaged, and we are unsure whether this happened in our driveway or not. I have not driven my jeep since this has happened and I'd rather be safe than sorry. It has been suggested I siphon the gas out and check it out that way first and if need be drop the fuel tank. My question is, is there an anti-siphon device in my 2005 TJ?
