Sampford Peverell is a pretty village near Tiverton in Devon and is home to about 1300 people. The village has great facilities including a good pub, a shop-cum-Post Office, a farm shop, a doctor's surgery, a village hall, a primary school, a sports field, tennis courts, a Multi Use Games Area, and a fun Play Park.

Owned by Sampford Peverell Parish Council, the ongoing maintenance of the park sits under the Sampford Peverell Recreation Ground & Village Hall Charity, driven by the Play Park Support Group, made up of local families.

The lovely Grand Western Canal runs right through the middle of Sampford Peverell towards Tiverton to the West and Lowdwells to the East. The canal is 11 miles long and meanders through some of the loveliest countryside you will find anywhere in Devon.

The GESP suggested building 2200 homes in Sampford Peverell. Because East Devon pulled out of the plan MDDC were advised that the GESP was no longer valid so they voted to work with neighbouring authorities to draw up a new plan, starting from scratch.

The churches in Sampford Peverell are supporting this, with a small team of people drawn from several different churches running it. Each month children of all ages and their families will gather at 9.30am and start with breakfast - chatting around tables is a great way to build friendships.
