2020年4月8日 · I have recently purchased a couple of subalpine pieces from sitka for an upcoming early season elk hunt in colorado. I would prefer to stick with the same camo although I primarily hunt deer in missouri and illinois. I was wondering about thoughts on the elevated II vs the subalpine and what pieces are essential.

2013年10月5日 · I was going to pick up a few items for my upcoming mule deer hunt in the badlands. Was wondering everyone's thoughts on Subalpine or Open County pattern. I know it comes down to using the wind and terrain to your advantage over which camo pattern or camo at all. I am leaning more toward the subalpine for earlier season bow hunting as well.

2019年8月14日 · It heavily depends on the quality of the prep, like most coatings do. I had a Howa with a dipped Hogue stock a few years ago and the camo print started coming off on my hands in the rain one day.

2016年8月5日 · First Lite has been using UV treated/dead fabrics for their camo. The idea being that certain colors basically cause some camo to glow in a deer or elk's eyes. I just spent a bunch on new Subalpine camo this year and took it into the closet with my daughter's cheap UV pen light and it lights up like a Christmas tree.

2011年12月9日 · Yes. In my humble opinion, its the most versatile jacket in the Sitka line up. It's surprisingly warm for the weight, wind resistant and though not waterproof, it will shed a light drizzle.

2010年8月22日 · Timbered slopes with a lot of upland areas are dominated by sagebrush, grass and mountain shrubs. Timber stands consist of limber pine, lodgepole pine, ponderosa pine, subalpine fir and scattered pockets of aspen. The burnt areas were very crispy in 2022 but unfortunately another fire is needed to incinerate the downed timber.
