2022年5月12日 · i’d personally gravitate towards the former, as they are shown as a “bodyguard” to ascension. as shown by artificer’s attempt at ascension, a creature can make it into the void sea, but unless it reaches whatever the big shining thing is via the void worm, it will remain tethered to the material world as an echo.

2022年8月4日 · Like a subconscious entity that is made "real" due to how the Void Sea alters your perception. So here's my theory: The Void worm only exists on a cosmic plane. "The void sea" is a cosmic plane that your consciousness is taken to by the void liquid. The "Void Sea" itself, the liquid body at the bottom of the depths might only be as deep as a pool.

2023年8月26日 · TLDR; You are a sperm for the void worms, they take you down to fertilise their void eggs, hence why the final scene before the ending cutscene resembles sperm; you are sperm. The Leviathans resemble the void worms because the it kinda just felt right to the ancients after all the neurons they probably tried getting high on.

2022年7月25日 · They are colloquially known as Void Worms, their purpose is unknown, as not many people or things manage to locate one and return to tell the tale. The reason the Void Worm helped the Slugcat descend, and thus Ascend, is similarly unknown, it could be that it deemed it worthy to Ascend, it could be something else entirely.

Well, one takes Slugcat to where they needed to go to ascend, so perhaps they are creatures meant to guide those who enter the Void Sea to ascension, or at least gain something in leading creatures to ascension. Thats what I thought after beating the game my first time, at least. As for what they actually are? No clue.

2023年4月30日 · For the Void Worm, I am also unsure of whether or not Saint ascended it, since both Void Worms and Guardians seem a bit "holy" in a way, and that Guardians are able to take 3 ascension hits before dying. Saint also loses ALL karma at the end, all the way to karma level 0 which is just an empty circle. I'm not sure what this means either.
