Confused by E=ρ/ε0 in Conductors and Dielectrics? - Physics Forums
2007年6月8日 · Are the dimensions correct in this equation: E=ρ/ε0 ? I don't think so since an electric field from a charge is given by: E = q/(4 pi ε0 r²) and since q/r² is no a charge density. This can also be looked at from physical point of view.
Solved A very long, uniformly charged cylinder has radius RR
Question: A very long, uniformly charged cylinder has radius RR and linear charge density λλ. Part A Find the cylinder's electric field strength outside the cylinder, r≥Rr≥R. Give your answer as a multiple of λ/ε0λ/ε0. Express your answer in terms of some or all of the variables RRR, rrr, and the constant ππpi.

How Does Charge Q Affect Electric Flux Through a Hemisphere?
2011年2月8日 · Wow, I guessed using the idea that the total flux should be 0 because of symmetry (not sure if that's an okay assumption) and also figured that since the normal of the flat surface is 180 degrees of the electric lines coming in that the answer would be the negative of the curved surface because the curved surface's normals are parallel to the electric lines.
