2023年12月24日 · M1 Supercar 0W-40 is super-light on Moly, Magnesium (0%), Zinc, and phosphorus. Not the same as old FS, that's for sure. Looks like the new M1 Supercar 5W-50 is a slightly higher than 0W-40 in everything listed (which is very little actual info) except Calcium is 73ppm and gets the newer API SP rating for direct injection engines.

2008年4月4日 · 0W-40 is only for German cars. BMW, Benz, Porsche, and VW. My 2001 Tahoe would disagree. Been running M1 0w-40 in the Chevy 5.3 for over 100k miles now. It's a great oil at an amazing price ($20 on Amazon) and love 0w for a quicker engine warmup time. I actually run 1.5 quarts of M1 0w-40 in my 4-stroke golf cart too. Love this oil.

But a 0w-20 will be farther from the limit of the range compared to 0w-40 that's gonna be closer to the limit since they struggle more to meet the blend requirements. All in all 0w isn't too important until it hits at least -20f. An engine with a 5w will still start but it might make it work harder.

2022年10月9日 · He said change every 4-5k miles with any 0w-40 or 5w-40 full synthetic and there won't be any issues. They use bulk full synthetic 5w-40, rated for both spark and compression. I've used Mobil 1 Euro 0w-40 and QS Euro 5w-40, NAPA Gold and Mobil 1 filters.

2022年1月30日 · Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 is clearly the superior product. I can only assume that FS 5W-40 exists because some people think 5W-40 is superior to 0W-40 and Mobil was losing market share. FS 5W-40 hasn't "replaced" FS 0W-40.

2002年11月16日 · During the last two summers, I ran M1 0W-40 and used < 1Qt M1 5W-40 as make-up oil during the 5K OCI. I pull a heavy 5th Wheel a lot during the summer months around the midwest and south. Temps 60MPH. From the UOA that I have read, M1 0W-40 and 5W-40 seemed like a good mix for this type of use.
