DIN EN 1.4541 stainless steel (X6CrNiTi18-10) is a variant version of 1.4301. The addition of titanium stabilizes carbides without sensitization, because titanium forms more stable carbides than chromium. These carbides remove carbon from the solid solution and prevent the precipitation of chromium carbide.

AISI 321 (1.4541, 321S31, X6CrNiTi18-10) - Austenitic steel
The material AISI 321 is an austenitic stainless steel that is also known under the designations 1.4541, Alloy 321, BS 321S31, BS 321S51 and X6CrNiTi18-10. The material has been stabilised by the addition of titanium and is characterised by good corrosion resistance (PREN value 17.0 to …
1.4541 is also suitable for laser beam fusion cutting with nitrogen or flame cutting with oxygen. The cut edges only have small heat affected zones and are generally free of micro cracks and thus are well formable. While choosing an applicable process the fusion cut edges can be converted directly.
