2023年7月6日 · I think you talking about the old 1.5L. The 1.5L dragon is a 3 cylinder found in the bronco sport and escape. I haven't heard of any major problem with them yet. They seem to have good power and fuel economy. So at this point, only time will tell with longer-term reliability.

Obviously, there is a difference in overall horsepower, 181-hp on the 1.5L and 245-hp on the 2.0L.

2024年7月3日 · If you google...Ford 1.5l ecoboost dragon... all kinds of stuff pops up. It uses a timing chain but a belt drives the variable oil pump. Same design as the 2.7 ecoboost as well as the 5.0 coyote in the f150s. All these engines use a belt to drive the oil pump. Verified by the service manual at the dealer. Don't really like a belt driving my oil ...

2020年2月13日 · Unfortunately, this video is of the 2019 escape, which has an older chassis and a 1.5L, 4-cylinder, not a 1.5L, 3-cylinder. Actually, the 3 cylinder is an improvement as long as the engine is not bogged down. The primary issue with the 3-cylinder is the programing of the cylinder deactivation / transmission.
