2003年3月6日 · Engine Differences- MY 2000 was the first year of the 1.8t for the golf/jetta, this engine code is the AWD. The motor comes with a K03 turbo. The AWD K03 has a 43mm inlet. Next came MY 2001, some early 2001's are AWD's while the others are all AWW. AWw mtors have a k03 sport turbo, basically a k03 with a k04 impeller wheel.

2003年8月13日 · AWD and AWW are 150 hp versions of the 1.8t, AWP is rated by VW at 180. The engines differ by turbo versions, compression, and variable valve timing. AWP is a fairly decent performer without a chip compared to the AWW and AWD. Sorry, don't know much about the NB engine versions, but I don't think yours would have any of these three.

The engine and tranny had only 8k on them but you never would have guessed it from the amount of rust, corrosion, dirt, and grime that had accumulated on every single part.

2009年5月15日 · Engine code: AWP - 2002.5+ Power: 180 hp/174 tq. Turbo: K03s Boost: 11.6 PSI. All MK IV VW cranks are forged. After 300 hp it is recommended to upgrade rods, pistons aren’t required until 400 hp. If you go to AutoZone or any of those places, make sure you get the correct plug. A cheap plug will cause misfires and lead to premature coilpack failure.

2009年2月13日 · In a nutshell, ATC 180s and AMU 225s don't have wideband, AWP 180s and BEA 225s do have wideband. Wideband is a highly desirable option for tuning, since it allows the engine to precisely control air fuel ratios to the point where you can run your car without a MAF sensor. The 180 and 225 have different compression ratios.

2020年4月26日 · It looks like the AMB is a 1.8t out of an Audi, as the chart says it's intended for longitudinally mounting. One thing you should keep in mind is that the AWP is equipped with a K03S, rather than just a K03.

2003年1月9日 · How can you tell which you have? Look at the manifold/block area, left side of engine looking from the front... I don't have a pic to show the exact location. I think it's between the area where the plugs are and the intake manifold. There is a flat spot on the block where you will see 3 letters etched on it.
