That’s why the superbike has undergone ongoing development: from the new, more aerodynamic trim panels with winglets, to the front wheel mudguard with M Brake Ducts, right up to performance-oriented details, such as the quick action throttle that reduces the throttle path by 12 degrees.

Depending on the speed, composite plastic winglets generate up to 37.7 lbs aerodynamic downforce at 186 mph. This downforce counteracts the tendency of the front wheel to lift off the road surface when accelerating: the fork maintains contact with the ground and DTC isn’t forced to intervene as much.
