2025年1月1日 · We are thrilled to announce a brand new crop of 12 x 12 Picture Book Writing Challenge Scholarship winners! The 12 x 12 Scholarship Fund started in 2014 when the 12 x 12 community generously donated funds to provide four scholarships in two categories—Diversity and Financial Need—for pre-published picture book authors.

12 x 12 is an inclusive and supportive learning community of picture book authors and illustrators at all experience levels. You’ll get accountability, encouragement, and resources to support you in achieving your goal of writing one new picture book draft each month (or at least writing more than you would on your own).

I have a lot of “almost there” pb manuscripts and revised one for a professional critique AND I started a new ms about a young boy from an island in SE Asia who was the first in his family to attend school, the first in his family to attend high school in the U.S. and the first in his family to graduate from college.
