EH 12ax7EH or JJ ECC83S? - The Gear Page
2021年9月16日 · Actually, I bought the 12AT7 to try in a tube overdrive pedal that came with a 12AX7. If anything, I would use the 12AT7 as the PI in a Fender Blackface style circuit. I was thinking I’d have more use for an extra 12AX7 in my tube stash…

Orange OR15 in-depth demo/review - The Gear Page
2020年2月5日 · Mine had JJ's and a 12AT7 in the PI but I switched to some old (not vintage) Mullard EL84s and Chinese/Ruby 12AX7's all around except a Sovtek LPS in the PI and like it better. I know it says to use a 12AT7 in the PI but I like the extra punch and gain of the 12AX7.
Need 12AT7 recommendation for '68 Deluxe Reverb - The Gear Page
2013年8月27日 · Need to replace what appears to be the original Telefunken 12AT7 V6 phase inverter tube in my '68 Deluxe Reverb. What do you recommend? Does not have to be NOS if you've had a good experience with new production.
FUNCTION OF THE 2nd 12AT7 TUBE IN THE DRRI? - The Gear Page
2009年9月7日 · I need some help here regarding tube function guys. I'm afraid I'm not much on reading (interpreting) schematics, so can anyone help educate me a bit on the function of the second (of two) 12AT7 tubes in the '65 Reissue Deluxe Reverb? The four (4) total 12AX7s are clearly pre-amp tubes for the...
Friedman Dirty Shirley : replacing the 12AX7 in V1 with a 12AY7
2018年1月23日 · Don't be scared, just try the 12A_7 tube in the socket, and draw your own conclusion. Any 12A_7 tube (12AX7, 12AT7, 12AY7, 12AU7, and their industrial equivalents or near-equivalents like 7025, 5751, 6201, 6072, 5814, etc) can be used in …
Fender "Custom" Vibrolux Reverb problem! - The Gear Page
2009年12月17日 · Try popping a tube back into V1 and ALSO using the lower gain tubes in Channel 2. That will give you much more headroom and less breakup than you have now. Another quandry is that you have a 12AX7 in the Phase Inverter. That should be a 12AT7. Using a 12AT7 in that slot should produce more headroom and less breakup as well. Try this...
Tube Pre Amps (Vocals & Bass) - The Gear Page
2024年7月6日 · When a tube operates at low plate voltages it becomes non linear. FWIW, high quality solid state preamps pretty much eclipsed tube preamps in the 70’s. Most of the classic stuff was recorded using the preamps in the mixing desks (Neve, API, sometimes MCI)…all solid state, transformer I/O preamps.
pre amp tubes HRD 12at7 and 12ay7 - The Gear Page
2014年3月20日 · I put the 12AT7 in V1 and it made the clean channel volume a little more forgiving with the sweep of the volume knob and it dropped the volume a good bit. Is the 12ay7 going to be even more volume reduction in V1 and can it be used in V2 to lessen the Drive channels gain? Is it too much of a...
Stumped by Peavey Classic Series 120/120 Power Amp Tubes …
2023年4月5日 · The 12AT7 (on each side) is used as an impedance lowering buffer to drive the 6L6GCs more efficiently. The preceding 12AX7 is the phase inverter. Since there is a path from the phase inverter plates through the (missing) 12AT7's grid resistors to the 12AT7 cathodes and on to the 6L6GC grids, I wouldn't be surprised if it passed audio without ...
