While the organization has expanded its scope to include a FIRST Tech Challenge team and hosts two FIRST LEGO League events annually, FRC 1640 remains solidly the core of DAR.

FMA District Seneca Event was DEWBOT XIX 's competition debut. 1640 finished qualification matches ranked 2 nd in a field of 27 teams. we captained the 2 nd alliance, joined by teams 272 (Cyber Crusaders) and 6860 (Equitum Robotics).

Team 1640 was 10-7-0 in official play in 2025. As a member of the FIRST Mid-Atlantic district, Team 1640 ranked 22 having earned 50 points. Team 1640 was Rank 7 with a record of 10-7-0 and won the following awards: They competed in the playoffs as the 1st Pick of Alliance 2 and were eliminated in the Double Elimination Bracket (Round 5).

2023年2月28日 · 1640 has always viewed swerve drive as a strategic investment. While not the best drive train solution for all situations, it is a very attractive drive train for many FRC situations. But it's expensive (in many dimensions). 1640 therefore runs a value engineering project each year specifically for the swerve drive.
