2006年12月5日 · OK, realistically, here's what I noticed going from 195/65/15s to 225/45/17s... About 25 kms less per full tank of fuel. In fact, on one highway run with the 17s, I recorded my highest mileage even on one full (vented) tank - 1198 kms. Hardly an issue for many.

2013年8月1日 · I say get the 16s, and if the handling is not up to snuff, get a proper model high performance tire. Handling/noise/mileage have more to do with the tires that are chosen than the wheels. If you are concerned about the added width, both models are 7" wide, so the 16s could fit a 225/50/16 Bridgestone and match the 17s.

2011年11月23日 · Anyone have an opinion on the benefit (if any) of 17" wheels on the Jetta instead of the standard 16" wheels, given that they come with a price tag of a little over $1,000 from the dealer. Will they improve mileage or the ride? Thanks. Benefit: For many, 17" wheels are more stylish/better looking than 16" wheels.

2013年7月24日 · Stock VW tire size for a 16" wheel is 205/55. Sidewall on the 195/45 is 1" less, speedo will be off by about 10% so at 60 you're really doing 55. You may also negatively affect your mileage. Something people don't think about is that you are effectively lowering your car as well by not having the proper tires on. I wouldn't recommend it.

Apart from some confusing and unreliable 'company rep' det**ls about which of the Tdi letters are in red, the way I'd use (given that a car has its' original engine) is to check the paper sticker, which gives the engine code and output, in Kw.
