2021年5月1日 · Overall, there were 248 eyes of 177 participants with ME in the MUST Trial and Follow-up Study, which comprises the study population for these analyses. The majority of eyes (62.5%) had prevalent ME at baseline (155 eyes, 123 patients), and just over one-third of eyes (37.5%) developed incident ME (93 eyes, 82 patients) during follow-up.

Results: The study included 177 eyes (152 primary and 25 secondary FTMH) in 166 patients. In primary FTMH, the male-to-female ratio was 1:2.2. The age- and gender-adjusted annual incidences of primary FTMH were 7.9 eyes and 7.4 individuals per 100 000 inhabitants.

Methods: This cross-sectional study evaluated 177 eyes of 177 patients from a single glaucoma clinic. The better eye of primary glaucoma patients (visual acuity of 6/20 or better) was evaluated. Patients with any other condition affecting visual acuity or reading performance were excluded.
