2022年12月29日 · For me answer is simple: 23/1.4 (just because 35mm is my fav focal length). XF 23/1.4 R LM WR is way more versatile prime, than 18/1.4. In my opinion Fujinon 18/1.4 rather requires one more lens for combo (usually it goes like: 24 (28)mm+50mm) With 23/1.4 You can do basically every type of photo.

2022年3月4日 · Two excellent lenses by all accounts... Specs : Difference in size on the street : negligible. The 23mm is 2mm narrower, 2mm longer and 5g heavier. I would only change over if for some reason you were seriously unhappy with the 18mm FL. You've said you're loving it, so my suggestion would be to keep right on enjoying it. Cheers, Rod. 2020年5月4日 · I find the 23mm f/2 to be a very nice lens and quick to focus. The 18mm renders beautifully, but it's an older technology (considering focusing); the 18 does have the advantage of being a near pancake lens and it's quite compact for some applications.

2018年2月4日 · The 23/2 has impressive resolution and tonal rendering--not as nice as the f/1.4 model but pretty close. To my eyes, the 23/2 has rendering at least as good as the 18mm. If the 18mm perspective is desirable, I would suggest serious consideration of the Ricoh GR series--the GRIII is due soon.

2023年1月3日 · To refer to your case, I would aim at having either 18 and 23 (my set of choice) or 18 and 35. For me the 18mm is the first real wide-angle lens, whilst the 23 is a "wider normal" lens, which I prefer to the 35.

2016年10月26日 · I would be a little skeptical to think Chad's 23 deg heads would do less--unless the 18 deg heads are properly reworked by a skilled craftsman. A better comparison would be a 23 and a 18 degree head within the same persons hands.
