That combined with the “directness” of the mahogany back and sides makes for a very versatile guitar... pretty close to perfection if you ask me.

One thing I would consider, if I was in your shoes, would be to also try a D-28 along side an HD-28, using your present D-18 as a baseline for tone comparison.

2022年5月13日 · They are two completely different beasts. If I had to pick a great 28 or 18 and walk away with one guitar it would almost be an 18 every time. I bought a reimagined 000-28 new and can answer any questions you may have. I prefer medium PB strings on it and consider probably the best overall guitar I own. 80/20s make it a better strummer.
