Am new to this site/forum and am researching a 1969 Camaro that is supposedly a Z28. have not seen the car in person and do not want to waste my time if it isn't a real Z28. Based on photos, engine codes appear to be correct but am not sure about the cowl tag since I don't recognize the body style code. Thoughts/advice?

Please advise. “1969 Camaro RS/Z28 Recreation. Period correct 302, Winters intake, DZ carburetor 4spd and rear end. High end restoration black with black/houndstooth interior.

2007年7月6日 · the Z28 was not intended to but a luxo barge, nor were COPO cars so when you see them with power windows and extra weight adding options, the car is just not what the engineers / racers envisioned them to be If you want a bunch of chrome, go buy a Buick or a Cadillac YMMV, IMHO

2000年5月10日 · OK. Here's more proof. Back in April 69, Popular Hot Rodding track tested what they called Chevy's Big Three. A 396/375 Camaro with street tires and a 3.73 rear end ratio managed a 14.60 at 98.90 MPH (weight was 3460 lbs.). The car of course was traction limited due to the street tires. The second car tested was a 1969 Z-28.

2003年2月2日 · I have never seen a documented 1969 Z28 that ever had the 041 head in it. The 186 head was the only head used in the z28. There are mistakes in the books mentioned above. I have never seen a triangle symbol on the front of a head on an orignal DZ engine. John Z was there at the Plant.
