I bought these to race the Evolution (EVO) class in the FTR Hare Scrambles series and the Sunshine State Vintage Motocross series. My plan was to race one bike and keep the other as a spare. 2013年4月3日 · Used to have a bunch of that 78-79 YZ250 stuff. Couple of engines, cylinders, ignitions, most any related engine part. Had a new 250 in 79, and in later years , used those engines in my short track bike. Only had one ignition failure, the pulse coil on one of the stators took a dump. They are the sealed plastic type on those bikes.

2010年11月18日 · Only the '80 CR 250 was a match for it, motor wise. On the whooped out sand tracks here, the Yamaha seemed to have an overall edge, handling, suspension, power combined. Yamaha kind of went for the mid range type of power for 81. The 250 and 465 were much mellower than the '80 models. They did the same thing from the '83 250 to the '84.

2016年5月17日 · 78-79 are like designs. They both used the shrunken down cases that debuted on the 250 in 78 on the E model. The 77 YZ250D still used the larger, older style cases. E-F engine parts all interchange. 77 D 250 parts will not. In 79 , the 400F got the case shrink treatment as well. Overall, the 250E was a faster , mid to top engine.
